Best Gas String Trimmer

The quality of gas string trimmers vary widely. You could have a trimmer that gives your heart a workout everytime you try to start it, and you can have one the fires up with the slightest pull of the cord. You could also have a trimmer that’s awkward to handle and is very inaccurate in cutting, or you could have a trimmer that is effortless to handle and cuts like a surgical knife. What makes up the difference? How can you tell which trimmer is going to give you the good features?

Well, they key is to buy a trimmer from a company that is well known for making quality trimmers and has been doing it a long time. I know that sounds simple, but you should know that there are radical differences between the well known brand name trimmers and the unknown brand name trimmers. The unfortunate part is, these quality trimmers are usually 2 to 3 times the cost of the cheap ones. However, they will last 7 to 8 times longer. They are well worth it.

The higher cost doesn't have to be a factor. In fact, you can eliminate the higher cost altogether and still get a very high quality trimmer. That because there are sites online that specialize in finding online deals for quality gas string trimmers. One site in particular is called Quality Grass Trimmers for Less. Click on the link and head over and you can see listings of quality brand name trimmers for less than half the retail cost.

So which brands are considered the quality brands? There are several that have been around for years making nothing but quality used by professionals and regular home owners like you and me. Some of these brands include: Echo, Stihl, Husvarna, Redmax, DR Trimmer and Troy Built. You can't go wrong with any of these.

Gas Trimmers Make Me Want to Cry From Sheer Happiness

I've been a huge advocate for quality when purchasing a grass trimmer, but I rarely say which one I like the most. That's really because there is no particular brand that outshines the other when I compare the quality trimmers to one another. They each are very good in their own way, but best of all, they all work, at least in my experience.

However, I will tell you which brands I like the most. Get ready because you're going to find out something that has costs me literally $1,000s to find out for myself…

The trimmer brands that I found which blow away the competition completely is the Echo, Stihl and Husqvarna gas trimmer brands. I've worked with each of these trimmers for a long time and I can't say which one is better, but I can say they're all damn good.

Here's what I like about the Echo, Stihl and Husqvarna string trimmers:

They're EASY to start and operate. I've had numerous trimmers and they all seem to suffer from starting problems. The Echo starts like it wants to run. I mean, the effort is minimal to get this baby roaring. The Stihl and Husqvarna also fire right up. However, my Echo is the easiest in this regard.

They all cut fast and accurately. These trimmers have so much power it makes the cutting easy and quick. Now, in this particular test I would give the edge to my Stihl. It's a cutting monster.

They're all durable and lightweight. Surprisingly, the Husqvarna trimmer was the smallest trimmer I ever bought, yet it's also the post powerful and durable. This brand was made for hard work. The Echo and Stihl are also very light and can take a beating.

Those are the 3 top things I like about my three trimmers. I know there are other good brands out there, like Redmax for example, but I never owned a Redmax (though I've heard great things about it) and I'm sticking with what made me happy after numerous cuts on my lawn, and that's my Echo, Stihl and Husqvarna trimmers.

You don't have to spend an arm and a leg getting a top quality trimmer. Just click on Echo Specials, Stihl Deals and Husqvarna Specials and you will see listings for these trimmers at 50% discounts or more!

Quality String Gas Trimmer - What to Look For When Buying

If you own a house chances are you need a grass trimmer to edge your sidewalk, around your home and to zap away the ugly weeds. The electric powered trimmers are obviously more of a hassle due to dealing with a cord, so the gas trimmer is the obvious choice. The problem is, how do you chose which gas trimmer is right for you?

There are several things to consider when buying a quality string gas trimmer. Some of these things take some common sense and some take some serious thought. Let's go over a few things you need to consider…

First, you need a trimmer that you can carry. Sure, this sounds like common sense, but think about what that might mean in terms of the trimmer itself. It's really in your best benefit to keep the machine on the light side, so the big fat motor that is impressing you on one model may not be the right choice for you. Also, a bigger motor doesn't mean it has more power than a smaller motor, so forget about that aspect for a moment.

Second, does the trimmer have a straight shaft or a curved shaft? Straight shaft trimmers don't have the same set of problems as curved shaft trimmers. However, these problems are usually eliminated in the high quality trimmers, but in general, for a no-name brand trimmer, stick to a straight shaft.

Third and last but certainly not least, is buy quality. A quality string gas trimmer is night and day different than a cheap one. Quality trimmers don't have the numerous issues with starting cords breaking or shaft cords snapping, etc. Actually, in regards to the second consideration listed above, a curved shaft trimmer is extremely convenient to use and a good feature to have in a trimmer. However, I would only recommend buying a curved shaft trimmer if you are buying a well-known name brand.

Of course, quality trimmers can be twice the cost but they are well worth it because they will last five times as long. Also, you can buy a quality name brand trimmer if you know where to look online. For example, at string gas trimmer deals you will find nothing but quality at extreme discount prices. Some of the best brands to look for are Echo Grass Trimmers and Stihl Gas Trimmers. Both of those brands are regularly used by lawn professionals every day.

If you keep these three things on your checklist when buying your gas trimmer you will likely end up with something that will make you happy and keep your lawn looking freshly cut for a long time.
